Two Ingredient Donuts

Did you know you can make DONUTS with only TWO ingredients? All you need is self-rising flour and yogurt Yes, that’s it. Scroll down for the recipe!

These are the exact ingredients I used below, but there are several other excellent self-rising flours in your local grocery store. I recommend using a sweetened yogurt, but you can use plain yogurt as well. You can also add one teaspoon of vanilla extract if you prefer a sweeter donut.

2 Ingredient Donuts

** Think of these as a healthier donut in that they are baked, not fried. With the cinnamon sugar they are perfectly sweet. If using plain Greek yogurt I would add one teaspoon of vanilla extract or paste. **

Dough

1 ¾ cup Self-Rising Flour

1 cup Vanilla Greek Yogurt

Cinnamon Sugar Mix

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 1/2 or 2 tablespoons cinnamon

3 tbs melted butter (for brushing)

Directions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine self-rising flour and vanilla yogurt.

  2. Stir with a silicone spatula to combine, then grease your hands with the same yogurt and knead the dough until it forms a soft elastic ball. The dough will be sticky.

  3. Divide the dough into 12-16 balls. Grease your hands with coconut oil or yogurt and rub each ball to smooth out the edges. Don’t over knead it though. You may brush with melted butter at this point if you want them to be golden brown.

  4. Grease the air fryer basket or tray generously with oil spray as they will stick!

  5. Air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 8-9 minutes or bake in oven for 10-11 or until slightly brown at the very top. ** If you brush with coconut oil or butter they will be a little more brown all over, otherwise they will bake very pale since we are not frying **

  6. Meanwhile, combine cinnamon and sugar in a bowl and stir together. Set aside. In another bowl, add butter and melt in the microwave at 15 second intervals.

  7. Remove the donut holes from the air fryer and brush with melted butter then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture. Store in an airtight container and microwave for 15 seconds in the morning. Enjoy!
