Wedding Wish Sticks

I was in Rite Aid last week and I saw this feather duster for $3. I stood in the aisle feeling every feather, staring at it, thinking about what I could make with it. I'm sure everyone walking by thought I was such a weirdo for feeling the feather duster and staring into space, but I was having a creative moment. Do you know how expensive feathers are? They are freaking outrageous! And these are premium, gorgeous, extra soft feathers! I have to tell you that I am a little obsessed with this feather duster and I think this feather craft will be the beginning of a long love affair. First the mason jar, then coffee filters, now the feather duster ...... I am warning you all!! See my pretty wedding wish sticks below.

Coffee Filter Flowers

Mother's Day on Lilyshop just wouldn't be complete without a craft made out of coffee filters!

Ok, so I'm sure you have all seen those awesome, giant, super cool crepe paper flowers online that Martha did a while back. Well, I really, really, really wanted to make those,  but I had no crepe paper. Soooooooo I took out my coffee filter bin and got crakingYesssss, I have a coffee filter bin. We do so many crafts with coffee filters that we now have a bin specifically for them ..... and since coffee filters already have a round edge, I didn't need to download a template or cut out any petal shapes. These bad boys are ready to use as is! To make these super easy flowers, see the tutorial below.

White Chocolate Crispy Cake Bars
Last year I was browsing Tasty Kitchen and I found these ammmmazzzzzing double chocolate marshmallow crispy bars from A Farm Girl's Dabbles that were seriously calling my name! I think I actually started drooling when I saw the picture. I immediately saved the recipe to my Tasty Kitchen recipe box and then somehow I totally forgot about them until last week! I made the original totally awesome chocolate version and then I decided to mix up the recipe a bit. Since I'm a huge white chocolate lover and the topping on these is very similar to my white chocolate avalanche bars I combined the two and I made a batch .... or two .... OK I actually made three of these! I know, seriously? What is wrong with me!? These are super yummy. Not too sweet. Great consistency. Easy recipe.

How to go Glamping
We went glamping! Anyone ever been glamping before? Glamping is the complete opposite of traditional camping. If you want to go camping just to have the great outdoors right outside your door, but hate the idea of feeling like you're in the woods while in your tent, glamping is perfect for you! It's glamorous, comfy, and feels you're inside! Keep in mind glamping is not for everyone as it tends to cost a pretty penny but it's supposed to be silly and fun and no to mention super comfortable.

Imagine your hotel suite when you're on vacation. Nice big bed, furniture, lounge area. bathrooms ..... This is what you get when you go glamping, only you're in a tent, in the woods! You can find places across the United States where they offer these kind of glamping tents and they are available to rent on a weekly basis or you can get super crazy and build your own glamping tent in your backyard like we did on Home and Family! It's perfect for a special girls night out or celebration. Here are some photos from the Hallmark Channel. I set up a gorgeous tent with old vintage sheets and used all the Home and Family house furniture with a lot of my accessories, blankets and pillows.
