I was in Rite Aid last week and I saw this feather duster for $3. I stood in the aisle feeling every feather, staring at it, thinking about what I could make with it. I'm sure everyone walking by thought I was such a weirdo for feeling the feather duster and staring into space, but I was having a creative moment. Do you know how expensive feathers are? They are freaking outrageous! And these are premium, gorgeous, extra soft feathers! I have to tell you that I am a little obsessed with this feather duster and I think this feather craft will be the beginning of a long love affair. First the mason jar, then coffee filters, now the feather duster ...... I am warning you all!! See my pretty wedding wish sticks below.
Mother's Day on Lilyshop just wouldn't be complete without a craft made out of coffee filters!
Ok, so I'm sure you have all seen those awesome, giant, super cool crepe paper flowers online that Martha did a while back. Well, I really, really, really wanted to make those, but I had no crepe paper. Soooooooo I took out my coffee filter bin and got craking! Yesssss, I have a coffee filter bin. We do so many crafts with coffee filters that we now have a bin specifically for them ..... and since coffee filters already have a round edge, I didn't need to download a template or cut out any petal shapes. These bad boys are ready to use as is! To make these super easy flowers, see the tutorial below.
